Congratulations on booking your school's visit to the Discovery Center at the Ronald
Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. All of the required documents listed below
are due 2 weeks prior to your visit, by either fax to 805.577.4158 or mail: Air
Force One Discovery Center, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93065.
REQUIRED: Role Assignments
Role Assignments are critical to the Discovery Center experience. We encourage you
to give careful consideration when assigning roles to your students.
Directions:
- Students playing President Reagan, General Vessey, or the Bureau Chief must have
strong reading skills, the ability to lead discussion, an outgoing personality,
and critical thinking skills.
- Primary roles should be assigned to students who are strong readers, have
demonstrated leadership abilities, and are comfortable speaking and sharing opinions
with others.
- Assistant roles should be filled only after the primary roles in
all 3 rooms are filled. Assistant roles are ideal for students with lower
reading skills, a reluctance to speak in front of others, those who are English
Language Learners, or students with special needs (please identify these students
for us so that we can ensure they are placed in the most appropriate module).
